Issue: rnWhile towing a trailer, the trailer brake lights do not turn on when the Smart Cruise Control (SCC) slows the vehicle. rnNote: The vehicle's brake lights continue to function normally. rn rnSafety Risk: rnBrake lights that do not work could cause a following driver not to recognize that a vehicle ahead is braking. This could increase the risk of a crash. rn rnCorrective Actions: rnKia will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to install an additional wire harness to the main fuse box.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2020351.
