This recall was replaced by Transport Canada Recall No. 2021-278. rnrnIssue: rnOn certain vehicles, brake fluid can enter the brake Hydraulic Electronic Control Unit (HECU) and cause a short circuit. rnNote: This problem may cause the ABS warning light to turn on. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA short circuit could create a fire risk. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnKia will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer for an inspection. If there is a brake fluid leak in the HECU, it will be replaced. Kia recommends that you should park your vehicle outdoors, and away from other vehicles or structures until the recall repairs have been completed.
