This recall was replaced by Transport Canada Recall No. 2021-092. rnrnIssue: rnCertain tires were built without enough rubber in the shoulder slot area of the tire tread. As a result, cracks could start forming in the slot or base area of the tread. This could cause a tire vibration and/or abnormal noise. If you continue to drive with this problem, the tread could separate from the tire and cause it to fail. rnNote: This problem only affects tires with date codes between 2920 and 3220. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA tire failure could increase the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnCooper Tires will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle or tires to an authorized dealer to replace the tires.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2020440.
