Issue: rnOn certain trucks, the spindle nut snap ring on the left side of the steer axle may not be installed correctly or may be missing. As a result, the tire and wheel assembly could separate from the truck. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA wheel separation could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. A wheel that separates could also hit another person or vehicle. rn rnCorrective Actions: rnDaimler Trucks North America (DTNA) will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a DTNA authorized service facility for an inspection. The snap ring will be reinstalled or replaced, as necessary.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2020513.
