Issue: rnOn certain travel trailers equipped with a Dometic propane gas stove, there could be an odour of propane gas after a short period of use. If a user attempts to tighten the bolt for the stove's valve in order to stop the smell, they could over-tighten the bolt and cause damage to a seal. This can result in a constant gas leak. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA propane gas leak could create the risk of a fire or explosion. rnrnCorrective Action: rnGrand Design RV will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealer to replace the defective hardware and perform a leak test. If you smell propane gas inside your travel trailer, you should evacuate and turn off the gas supply immediately.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2020602.
