Issue: rnCertain travel trailers were equipped with safety chains that are not strong enough. As a result, if the travel trailer becomes uncoupled from the tow vehicle, the safety chains could break. This could allow the travel trailer to detach from the tow vehicle. rn rnSafety Risk: rnA travel trailer that separates from the tow vehicle could create the risk of a crash. rn rnCorrective Actions: rnForest River will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your travel trailer to a dealer to replace the safety chains with stronger ones.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2021051.
