Issue: rnOn certain hybrid electric vehicles (HEV), the daytime running lamps (DRLs) do not turn on when you use the Remote Smart Parking Assist feature. Canadian regulations require the DRLs to turn on when the vehicle moves. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA moving vehicle without daytime running lights may be less visible to people and could increase the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnHyundai will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to update the vehicle software.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2021357.
