Issue: rnOn certain vehicles, the head restraints on the third-row (rear) seats may not have been properly welded. As a result, the head restraint could move or detach from the seat in a crash. rnrnSafety Risk: rnHead restraints that move or detach in a crash could increase the risk of an injury. rnrnCorrective Action: rnNissan will contact owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the third-row seat head restraints. To reduce the safety risk, Nissan recommends that you should not use the third row rear seats until the recall repairs are completed.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2021593.
