Issue: rnOn a small number of vehicles, the airbag control unit may not be properly attached to the vehicle . This could cause the airbag system not to work properly in a crash. It could also cause the airbags and/or seat belt pretensioners to deploy without a crash. rnrnSafety Risk: rnAn airbag system that does not work properly could create an increased risk of injury in a crash. Airbags or seat belt pretensioners that deploy without a crash could create a risk of injury and could also increase the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnMercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the attachment bolts for the airbag control unit, and repair as necessary.
