Issue: rnUnder certain conditions, a software problem could cause the in-vehicle infotainment system to reset. If you shift to reverse while the computer is resetting, the rearview camera image will not appear on the display. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the transmission is shifted into reverse gear. rnNote: This recall only affects certain vehicles sold to rental fleets. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA rearview camera image that does not display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnNissan will notify owners by mail and ask you to make an appointment with your local dealer to update the in-vehicle infotainment system software. For vehicles with over-the-air (OTA) update capability, Nissan will send a wireless over-the-air software update to each vehicle.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2022398.
