Issue: rnOn certain vehicles, a problem with the torque sensor in the electric power steering system (EPS) could cause a loss of power steering assist. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA loss of power steering assist can cause a sudden increase in steering effort and create the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnNissan will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the lot code on the steering column torque sensor. The steering column assembly will be replaced, as needed.
