Issue:rnOn certain vehicles, the screw that attaches the steering coupling may not have been properly tightened. As a result, the steering coupling could detach from the steering shaft and cause a loss of steering control. rnNote: This problem may cause looseness in the steering or noises while driving on rough roads.rn rnSafety Risk:rnA loss of steering control could increase the risk of a crash. rn rnCorrective Actions:rnMercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the steering coupling locking screw.
