Issue: rnOn certain trailers, the coupling plate and king pin assembly may become damaged under certain loading conditions. If this happens, the trailer could disengage from the tractor.rn rnSafety Risk: rnA trailer that disconnects from a tow-vehicle could create the risk of a crash.rnrnCorrective Actions: rnABS Remorques Inc. strongly recommends that you should immediately perform a visual inspection of the coupling plate, the king pin and their components on your trailer(s). If you find any damage during the inspection, you should stop using the trailer and contact the company. The company will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to an authorized ABS facility to replace the coupling plate.
