Issue: rnOn certain vehicles, a trim panel could interfere with the seat belts for the second-row outboard seats. As a result, the second-row outboard seat belts may not work properly in a crash. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA seat belt that doesn't work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnBMW will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the routing of the seat belts for the second-row outboard seats, and correct if necessary. To reduce the safety risk, BMW recommends not to transport any passengers in the second-row outboard seats until the recall inspection has been completed.
