Issue: rnOn certain vehicles, the high-voltage battery could overheat when it is fully charged. As a result, the battery could create smoke or heat, which can melt or damage the battery and nearby parts. rnNote: This recall replaces recall R10202 (Transport Canada Recall No. 2022-716). Vehicles that received a software update under that recall also require this repair. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA battery that overheats can create a fire risk. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnPolestar will notify owners by mail and advise you to bring your vehicle to a dealership to replace the high-voltage battery.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2023295.
