Issue: rnOn certain vehicles, a problem with the torque sensor in the electric power steering (EPS) system could cause a loss of power steering assist. rnNote: Vehicles that were inspected under Transport Canada recall 2022-527 also require this inspection. Vehicles that had the steering column replaced are not affected by this recall. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA loss of power steering assist can cause a sudden increase in steering effort and create the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnNissan will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the lot code on the steering column torque sensor. The steering column assembly will be replaced, as needed.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2023428.
