Issue: rnOn certain IBEX 800 Touring motorcycles, the mounting bolt for the right footrest may not have been properly tightened. As a result, the bolt could loosen and interfere with the rear brake pedal. If this happens, you may not be able to apply the rear brake, causing reduced braking. rnrnSafety Risk: rnReduced braking can cause increased stopping distances and create the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnCFMOTO will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to remove the right footrest bolt, apply thread-locking compound and retighten it. To reduce the safety risk, CFMOTO recommends not to ride your motorcycle until the recall repairs are completed.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2023442.
