Issue: rnOn certain ATVs, a software problem could cause the ignition coil to fail. If this happens, and you continue to operate the vehicle, the exhaust system could overheat. rn rnSafety Risk: rnAn exhaust system that overheats could cause a fire. rn rnCorrective Actions: rnTo reduce the safety risk, CFMOTO advises not to use your ATV until the recall repairs have been completed. CFMOTO will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your ATV to a dealership to update the electronic control unit software.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2024471.
