Issue: rnOn certain fire trucks equipped with a Weldon vehicle multiplex system, a software problem could cause the power distribution unit not to shut off if there is a short circuit or a wiring problem. As a result, the unit and/or wiring could overheat and melt. rn rnSafety Risk: rnA power distribution unit and/or wiring that overheats and melts could create the risk of a fire. rn rnCorrective Actions: rnE-ONE will notify owners by mail and advise you to contact Weldon to update the Weldon power distribution unit software.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2024003.
