Issue:rnOn a small number of buses, a problem with the drive belt tensioner could cause the belt to move or come off the pulleys. As a result, the alternator, power steering, and water pump could stop working. If this happens, there could be a loss of power to the wheels, a loss of power steering assist and/or the engine could overheat.rnNote: This recall only affects buses built on a General Motors chassis equipped with a second air conditioning compressor.rnrnSafety Risks:rnA loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. A loss of power steering assist could cause a sudden increase in steering effort and also increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, an engine that overheats could create the risk of a fire.rnrnCorrective Actions:rnMicro Bird will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your bus to a dealership to replace the drive belt and tensioner.
