Issue: rnOn certain vehicles, software problems with the powertrain control module (PCM) and battery energy control module (BECM) could cause the engine not to restart after a start-stop (i-stop) event. rn rnSafety Risk: rnA vehicle that doesn't restart after a start-stop event could increase the risk of a crash. rn rnCorrective Actions: rnMazda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the PCM and BECM software.
