Issue: rnOn certain vehicles, the headlamp switch may have been manufactured incorrectly and could cause the daytime running lamps (DRLs) to remain on when switching the front fog lamps on. Canadian regulations require the DRLs to turn off when the front fog lamps are switched on. rnNote: This recall affects both Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L models.rn rnSafety Risk: rnDaytime running lamps that stay on in foggy conditions could cause glare and reduced visibility. This could increase the risk of a crash. rn rnCorrective Action: rnFCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the headlamp switch.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2024753.
