Issue: rnOn certain vehicles, a software problem could cause a delay in the speedometer displaying the correct vehicle speed in the instrument panel cluster. rnNote: This recall affects both Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L models. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA speedometer that doesn't display the correct vehicle speed could lead you to drive too fast without knowing. This could increase the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnFCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the instrument panel cluster software.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2024703.
