Issue: rnOn certain vehicles, the second-row center seat belt may have been damaged during production. As a result, the seat belt could break in a crash. If this happens, the seat belt may not hold a person in place during the crash. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA seat belt that doesn't work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnTo reduce the safety risk, the company advises that you shouldn't transport a passenger in the second-row center seat until the recall repairs are completed. The company will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the second-row center seat belt assembly.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2025050.
