Issue: rnOn certain snowmobiles, the engine control module bracket may have been broken during production. As a result, the broken bracket could fall in the engine compartment and cause the throttle to become stuck.rnNote: This recall only affects certain snowmobiles equipped with 600R E-TEC, 850 E-TEC or 850 E-TEC Turbo R engines.rnrnSafety Risk: rnA stuck throttle could cause an unintended acceleration and increase the risk of a crash. rn rnCorrective Actions: rnBRP will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your snowmobile to a dealership to inspect the throttle body and, if necessary, remove the broken bracket. The dealer will also inspect the engine control module bracket and replace it, as necessary.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2025062.
