Transport Canada carries this recall as 2025109, dated 2 March 2025. The American register carries the same defect as campaign 25V134, dated 28 February 2025. They are the same defect because the manufacturer filed both under one internal campaign code, 25S17.

The two registers are 2 days apart: the American entry is dated first, the Canadian one second.

These are the dates each register records against its own notice. They are separate administrative acts in two countries, recorded by two authorities under two sets of rules, and this page does not claim that one caused the other or that owners in either country were contacted on those days. What it shows is that the same manufacturer campaign reached the two registers on different dates.

Read the American notice 25V134, including every earlier version of its wording this site holds. The Canadian register explains why the manufacturer code is published there and what that makes possible. Canada and America sets every matched pair side by side.

Issue: rnOn certain trucks, the recall repairs completed by a Ford dealer during recall 23S46 (Transport Canada recall no. 2023-450) may not have been done correctly. As a result, a second repair is required. rnrnUnder certain conditions, a software problem could cause the wrong rearview camera image to display while reversing. As a result, the hitch or trailer view image may display instead of the default rearview image. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when reversing. rnNote: This recall only affects trucks equipped with the Pro Trailer Hitch Assist feature. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA rearview camera image that doesn't display properly could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnFord will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to update the advanced drive assistance system module software.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2025109.
