Issue: rnOn one vehicle, the recall repairs completed by a Mercedes-Benz dealer during recall 5496507 (Transport Canada recall no. 2025-527) may not have been done correctly. As a result, a second repair is required. rnrnOn certain vehicles, there could be a problem inside the high-voltage battery. As a result, the battery modules could overheat and short circuit. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA short circuit in the high-voltage battery can create a fire risk. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnTo reduce the safety risk, Mercedes-Benz recommends that you set the maximum charge setting of your vehicle at 80% until the recall repairs are completed. Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the battery management system software.
