Both registers carry the same date for this defect.

These are the dates each register records against its own notice. They are separate administrative acts in two countries, recorded by two authorities under two sets of rules, and this page does not claim that one caused the other or that owners in either country were contacted on those days. What it shows is that the same manufacturer campaign reached the two registers on different dates.

Read the American notice 25V908, including every earlier version of its wording this site holds. The Canadian register explains why the manufacturer code is published there and what that makes possible. Canada and America sets every matched pair side by side.

Issue: rnOn certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image not to display when the transmission is shifted into reverse. rnNote: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall no. 2025-233. Vehicles that were repaired under that recall also require this repair.rnrnSafety Risk: rnA rearview camera image that doesn't display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnVolvo will notify owners by mail and send a wireless over-the-air software update to eligible vehicles to update the vehicle software. Alternatively, you may schedule an appointment to have the update performed at a Volvo dealership.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2025718.
