What the notice says エアコンの外気導入口の構造が不適切なため、雨水がブロアファンモータ部に浸入し、当該モータの軸受け部が錆びて固着するものがある。そのため、ブロアファンモータが停止してデフロスタが作動しなくなる。また、マニュアルエアコン仕様車においては、ブロアファンモータの回転を制御する抵抗ユニット内の温度ヒューズの仕様が不適切なため溶断せず、最悪の場合、抵抗が過熱して火災に至るおそれがある。

What the ministry says is wrong

エアコンの外気導入口の構造が不適切なため、雨水がブロアファンモータ部に浸入し、当該モータの軸受け部が錆びて固着するものがある。そのため、ブロアファンモータが停止してデフロスタが作動しなくなる。また、マニュアルエアコン仕様車においては、ブロアファンモータの回転を制御する抵抗ユニット内の温度ヒューズの仕様が不適切なため溶断せず、最悪の場合、抵抗が過熱して火災に至るおそれがある。

What is to be done about it

全車両、外気導入口のカバーとブロアファンモータを点検し、カバーが装着されていないものはカバーを追加する。また、ブロアファンモータに錆が発生しているものはブロアファンモータを新品に交換する。なお、マニュアルエアコン仕様車は、ブロアファンモータの回転を制御する抵抗ユニットを点検し、対策品が装着されていないものは対策品に交換する。
