What the notice says 電動パワーステアリング機構の一部であるダブルユニバーサルジョイントにおいて、材質の選定及び製造工程が不適切なため、当該ジョイントの一部の強度が不足しているものがある。また、それらの部品において、生産ライン等での遡り品質チェックの際の作業が不適切なため、過度に引っ張られたことにより当該ジョイント部が伸長したものや落下した部品を再使用したものがある。これらの複合要因のため、ステアリングホイールを最大までの操舵時などで強いせん断力がかかると当該ジョイントの一部が破損して、ステアリングコラムから異音が発生し、そのまま使用を続けると、最悪の場合、予期せぬ強い操舵力が必要となるおそれがある。
