What the notice says プラグインハイブリッド車の高電圧バッテリーのセルモジュールにおいて、機器の設定が不適切なため、セル表面が不均一なものがある。そのため、バッテリーが満充電での駐車中に、セルモジュール内部で短絡が発生し、最悪の場合、熱によるバッテリー異常が発生し、火災に至るおそれがある。

What the ministry says is wrong

プラグインハイブリッド車の高電圧バッテリーのセルモジュールにおいて、機器の設定が不適切なため、セル表面が不均一なものがある。そのため、バッテリーが満充電での駐車中に、セルモジュール内部で短絡が発生し、最悪の場合、熱によるバッテリー異常が発生し、火災に至るおそれがある。

What is to be done about it

全車両、専用診断機で車両を点検し、交換が必要な場合は、セルモジュールを良品と交換し、車両自己診断機能を備えた対策プログラムをインストールする。 また、車両が入庫するまでの間、プラグインによる外部充電を行わないよう車両使用者に周知を行う。
