Concern

Ranger XP Kinetic Brake Release

Defect, as DVSA words it

On certain vehicles activating the brake and throttle pedals simultaneously may result in a loss of throttle response. If the brake is then released the vehicle may move and the throttle may still be deactivated posing a crash hazard and risk of serious injury.

Remedy, as DVSA words it

Conduct an update to the vehicle control system to prevent these symptoms. This includes a calibration update to the Main Bike Board (MBB) controller.

What changed since we first read it

Nothing yet. The wording has been the same on every read since 4 September 2026. The file is read again every day; if DVSA rewrites the defect, remedy or concern, the old and new text will appear here with both dates.
