Concern

B-Pillar Reinforcement

Defect, as DVSA words it

On affected vehicles the weld points of a reinforcement in the right B-pillar may not correspond to the specifications. In this case the reinforcement in the B-pillar may work loose over time and fail to transmit the belt forces to the B-pillar as intended. This would increase the risk of injury in the event of an accident.

Remedy, as DVSA words it

Rework the B-Pillar on the affected vehicles if necessary.

What changed since we first read it

Nothing yet. The wording has been the same on every read since 4 September 2026. The file is read again every day; if DVSA rewrites the defect, remedy or concern, the old and new text will appear here with both dates.
