VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH 260 C.I.D. ENGINES. THE CARBURETOR THROTTLE CABLE CONDUIT COVER MAY BREAK AT THE MOLDED FIREWALL CONNECTION, POSSIBLY CAUSING A SHARP BEND IN THE CABLE. THIS RESULTS IN THE STRANDED WIRES FRAYING AND BALLING-UP INSIDE THE CONDUIT COVER, WHICH COULD CAUSE THE THROTTLE CABLE TO SEIZE IN ANY POSITION. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE SPEED COULD BE MAINTAINED WHEN THE DRIVER'S FOOT IS REMOVED FROM THE ACCELERATOR AND VEHICLE CRASH COULD OCCUR.

Transport Canada recorded this notice in capitals, as its system did for many years. It is reproduced here exactly as published.
