THE ALUMINIZED SURFACE FINISH WAS OMITTED ON SOME LEFT HAND PARKING LAMP REFLECTORS. THIS FINISH IS INTENDED TO ASSIST IN THE SAFE OPERATION OF THE VEHICLE BY PROVIDING SIGNALLING AND PARKING ILLUMINATION DURING DARKNESS AND OTHER CONDITIONS OF REDUCED VISIBILITY. THE ABSENCE OF THE FINISH MAY INCREASE THE POSSIBILITY OF ANOTHER VEHICLE COLLIDING WITH ONE OF THESE VEHICLES.

Transport Canada recorded this notice in capitals, as its system did for many years. It is reproduced here exactly as published.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 1975077.
