A FLAT HEAD CAP SCREW USED TO FASTEN THE LEFT TIE ROD TO THE STEERING POST IS SUBJECT TO HYDROGEN EMBRITTLEMENT. A SUBSTITUTE SCREW WAS USED THAT WAS TOO SHORT AND PROVIDED ONLY MARGINAL ENGAGEMENT WHEN SECURED WITH A LOCK NUT. BREAKAGE OF THE ORIGINAL SCREW CAN CAUSE SEPARATION OF THE LEFT TIE ROD FROM THE STEERING POST AND LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL OF THE LEFT SKI. rnSA340-A2 FROM 713025 THROUGH 714023 rnSB440-AE FROM 744026 THROUGH 747025
