TRAILERS EQUIPPED WITH B.F. GOODRICH TRAILER ANTI=SKID SYSTEM. THE B.F. GOODRICH TRAILER ANTI-SKID SYSTEM CONTAINS A BRAKE PRESSURE CONTROLLER WHICH CAN FAIL DUE TO EXCESSIVE VIBRATION. A CONTROLLER FAILURE WOULD CAUSE A LOSS OF BRAKES ON THE CONTROLLED AXLE AT SPEDS GREATER THAN 35 M.P.H. OR A LOSS OF SKID CONTROL AT ANY SPEED RESULTING IN BRAKING CONTROL PROBLEMS.

Transport Canada recorded this notice in capitals, as its system did for many years. It is reproduced here exactly as published.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 1978031.
