AN ELECTRICAL FAILURE COULD BLOW A FUSE AND RESULT IN THE FAILURE OF THE REAR BRAKE LIGHTS. ALSO, AN ENGAGED CRUISE CONTROL WOULD NOT BE DISENGAGED AUTOMATICALLY BY JUST TOUCHING THE BRAKE PEDAL. DISENGAGEMENT WOULD BE TRIGGERED EITHER BY BRAKING AND DECELERATING TO BELOW 40KM OR SHUTTING THE CRUISE CONTROL OFF. CORRECTION: REMEDY WILL BE THE COMBINATION OF TWO FUSES SUCH THAT IN THE CASE OF A FUSE FAILURE THE CRUISE CONTROL WOULD NOT FUNCTION ANYMORE.
Transport Canada recorded this notice in capitals, as its system did for many years. It is reproduced here exactly as published.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 1987050.
