6000 STE MODELS ONLY. ON VEHICLES WITH ANTI-LOCK BRAKES, THE ABS RELAY AND/OR THE HYDRAULIC PUMP MOTOR RELAY MAY BECOME INOPERATIVE DUE TO CORROSION. AN INOPERATIVE ABS RELAY COULD CAUSE THE LOSS OF THE ABS FUNCTION. ALSO, A LOSS OF THE HYDRAULIC PUMP MOTOR RELAY COULD CAUSE THE LOSS OF THE REAR BRAKES AS WELL AS POWER ASSIST TO THE FRONT BRAKES. THIS COULD RESULT IN INCREASED STOPPING DISTANCES AND VEHICLE CRASH WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING. rnCORRECTION: RELAYS WILL BE REPLACED.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 1987065.
