NOTE: ONLY 7 UNITS HAVE BEEN DELIVERED TO DEALERS IN ALBERTA (5), MANITOBA (1) AND NOVA SCOTIA (1). WHEEL STUDS USED IN SOME LEFT SIDE REAR HUB ASSEMBLIES DID NOT HARDEN TO GRADE B STRENGTH. THIS COULD CAUSE THE STUDS TO FAIL AND THE DISC WHEEL TO BECOME LOOSE, LEADING TO LOSS OF THE WHEEL ASSEMBLY AND CREATING THE POTENTIAL FOR A VEHICLE CRASH. CORRECTION: SUSPECT STUDS WILL BE REMOVED AND REPLACED ON INVOLVED VEHICLES.

Transport Canada recorded this notice in capitals, as its system did for many years. It is reproduced here exactly as published.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 1989086.
