NOTE: VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH ROBERT BOSCH P7100 MECHANICALLY GOVERNED FUEL PUMPS. HIGH ENGINE VIBRATION LEVELS COULD RESULT IN ACCELERATED WEAR OF THE SECONDARY THROTTLE RETURN MECHANISM. IN THE EVENT OF FAILURE OF THE PRIMARY RETURN MECHANISM, A WORN SECONDARY MECHANISM MIGHT NOT RETURN THE ENGINE TO IDLE WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL IS RELEASED. THIS COULD RESULT IN LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL. CORRECTION: LINKAGE WHICH IS SUBJECT TO WEAR WILL BE REPLACED WITH A MULTI-STRAND COILED CABLE.

Transport Canada recorded this notice in capitals, as its system did for many years. It is reproduced here exactly as published.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 1994053.
