NOTE: VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH NEWAY ANCHORLOK REAR SUSPENSIONS.rnTHE SUSPENSION EQUALIZING BEAM COULD HAVE DEFECTIVE SUSPENSION SHAFTS WHICH COULD FRACTURE INSIDE THE BEAM AND WORK LOOSE FROM THE BEAM. SHOULD THE SHAFT SEPARATE FROM THE BEAM, THE SUSPENSION AIR BAG WOULD DROP TO THE ROADWAY. SHOULD THIS HAPPEN, IT WOULD AFFECT VEHICLE STABILITY AND CONTROL WHICH COULD POSE A HAZARD TO OTHER USERS OF THE ROADWAY AND ADJACENT PROPERTY.rnCORRECTION: ALL EQUALIZING BEAMS WITH NON-CONFORMING SHAFTS WILL BE REPLACED.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 1996131.
