NOTE: VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH TILT/TELESCOPING STEERING COLUMNS.
THE FOUR FASTENERS THAT RETAIN THE OUTPUT SHAFT BEARING TO THE STEERING COLUMN TILT/TELESCOPING MECHANISM MAY NOT HAVE BEEN TORQUED PROPERLY. IF THESE FASTENERS BECOME LOOSE AND FALL OUT, THE STEERING COLUMN DRIVELINE WILL DISCONNECT FROM THE TILT/TELESCOPING MECHANISM AND STEERING CONTROL WILL BE LOST.
CORRECTION: THE LOWER TWO FASTENERS WILL BE REPLACED WITH BUTTON HEAD SCREWS AND PREVAILING TORQUE NUTS AND THE UPPER TWO FASTENERS WILL BE RETORQUED.
