Certain motorhomes have incorrectly sized huck bolts holding the trailer hitch to the motorhome frame. These incorrectly sized bolts can loosen and this results in separation of the trailer hitch from the motorhome. This could lead to towed unit separation or the hitch falling to the ground and becoming a road hazard. Correction: Existing bolts will be removed and replaced with correctly sized nuts, lock washers, and bolts.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 1999127.
