On certain vehicles, a fuel feed line connecting the fuel filter to the engine can prematurely age and shrink through exposure to high under hood temperature caused by the turbocharger. Such shrinkage could cause a clamp connection adjacent to the turbocharger to loose its clamping force resulting in fuel seepage. This is an expansion of recall 00-097. Correction: Dealers will replace the entire fuel feed line from the filter to the engine with a fuel line of shrinkage-proof material.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2003073.
