Canada — Transport Canada, Vehicle Recalls Database
On certain vehicles, an excessive front drive shaft angle may cause accelerated wear and failure of the drive shaft and related components. This failure can cause the front drive shaft to become separated from the vehicle without warning and get into the path of other vehicles on the highway, possibly resulting in property damage, personal injury, or death. Correction: Dealer will replace the drive shaft with a double-Cardan type shaft. Note: This recall is superseded by recall 2005006.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2003256.
