On certain vehicles, the protective cover for the cab Power Distribution Module (PDM) may be missing or improperly installed. If the protective cover is missing or not positioned correctly, any water intrusion from an open window or windshield leak may seep through the upper dash cover seam and drip onto the PDM. Water on the PDM circuits may cause a short circuit resulting in a fire that could cause personal injury. Correction: Dealers will install an updated protective cover.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2006133.
