Certain Workhorse Custom Chassis equipped vehicles fail to comply with CMVSS 101 and 105. Specifically the instrument cluster ABS telltale and other brake warning signals fail to conform to the Federal Safety Standards. Incorrect software may fail to illuminate the warning lamps for brake failures. This would result in the driver not knowing when a brake failure had occurred and result in an accident. Correction: Dealers will reprogram the instrument cluster.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2006158.
