Certain aerial devices and digger derricks, installed on utility service vehicles (to elevate personnel in order to facilitate working on overhead service lines, for tree trimming, etc.) were manufactured using high strength fasteners that may fail due to stress corrosion cracking. Failure of the fasteners could result in uncontrolled movement or separation of the pedestal from the turntable, potentially resulting in serious injury or death. Correction: Dealers will replace the affected fasteners.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2010406.
