On certain vehicles, the fuel lines and the transmission electrical harness may have been routed too close to the engine turbo exhaust pipe, possibly causing the fuel line to leak or the melting or burning of the electrical harness. Fuel leaking on the turbo exhaust pipe or a melting or burning electrical harness may result in a vehicle fire, possibly causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if required, repair the fuel lines and the transmission electrical harness.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2010456.
